Agave Heritage Festival
April 9 will mark a ribbon cutting and VIP event held in collaboration with the Agave Heritage Festival, Circle Stone Capital, and Tucson GastroPark.
April 9–12 the Agave Heritage Festival will bring significant attention and visitation to the site.
During the week of April 20, we will host curated, chef inspired dinners featuring Tucson chefs and heritage food experiences to begin activating the culinary component of the property.
Cinco de Mayo
May 5 will be a Cinco de Mayo celebration to further introduce the site to the community.
By the end of May, we anticipate opening the Welcome Center. Following this milestone, we will begin activating the Casitas one by one in a phased rollout.

Launch of recurring community food programming starting with Sonoran Hot Dog Saturdays and Tucson Taco Tuesdays.
Travel to three UNESCO Cities of Gastronomy
Travel to three UNESCO Cities of Gastronomy to connect with chefs and build relationships for a rotating chef residency program. Planned visits include Heraklion, Thessaloniki, and Mérida, Yucatán, México. This will support curated chef exchanges scheduled between October 2026 and March 2027.

Tucson Gastropark proudly joins as the Community Sponsor for BC Food News, bringing listeners a weekly celebration of flavor, culture, and community. Irresistible: Tucson will broadcast live from Gastropark in the UNESCO City of Gastronomy, presented by the Food & Wine Radio Network and powered by the Si Charro Family of Restaurants — where everyone is always welcome.
Relocating
We will have a formal lease in place for our office space as activation continues.

Over the next few weeks, equipment will be removed, the area will be freshly paved and landscaped, and we will begin preparing for murals and graphics.
